What we keep

Takelet stores your profile, polls, comments, votes, hearts, follows, saved polls, blocked accounts, reports, and notification preferences. We use these to run your account and the feed.

Email sign-in stores your email address so you can return to your account. If you choose a supported sign-in provider, we use the account details it shares with Takelet to sign you in.

Anonymous posting and voting use a private identifier saved on your device. No name or email is required. Keep that saved data to manage your polls.

What other people see

Your profile, polls, comments, and follower lists are public. Hearts, comments, and follows may notify the person receiving them. Your answer choices, email address, saved polls, and blocked account list are not public.

Anonymous polls hide the author’s profile, including after sign-in. The author’s comments on that poll also stay anonymous. Takelet retains the private author identifier for moderation and abuse prevention.

Private votes are stored on the server to prevent duplicate votes and let you change your answer. Authorized service operators can access stored data to maintain the service and investigate problems.

Your feed and your device

The feed uses votes, hearts, comments, follows, and how recently a poll was posted. The answers you choose do not affect recommendations.

Your browser or app saves your sign-in session, loaded polls, and unfinished questions. These help you return to your place and keep reading when you lose your connection.

Service providers

Takelet uses hosting, database, and email providers to serve the app, store data, and deliver sign-in codes. These providers may keep technical request logs, such as IP addresses, timestamps, and errors, to operate and protect their services.

We use Supabase for accounts and data, Resend for sign-in emails, and OpenAI Sites for website hosting. We do not use advertising or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Optional website analytics

If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand visits, referral websites and actions such as publishing a poll or voting. It uses browser cookies and technical data, such as browser type and approximate location. We do not send your email, username, poll text, chosen answers or sign-in codes. Poll visits are grouped without their individual poll IDs.

Analytics is off until you choose to allow it. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google Signals. You can decline and keep using every feature.

How Google uses information from sites that use its services

Search engines and AI search

Public polls and public information pages can be indexed by search engines and AI search tools. Individual ballots and account credentials are not part of that public content. Removing a poll from Takelet may not immediately remove copies already held by another service.

Delete your activity

Use Settings to delete your account. This removes your profile, authored polls and comments, ballots, and social connections from the app, and updates affected poll totals.

You can withdraw a vote while its poll is open. The iPhone app also lets you delete guest activity in Settings. Clearing your browser alone removes local data but does not delete votes already saved on the server.

Deletion cannot remove screenshots or copies someone else made of your public posts. Infrastructure logs and backups may follow the service providers’ retention schedules.
